Terms of service

1. Hop is a personal travel reference tool, currently free, provided as is and as available.

2. Visa, entry, advisory and currency information may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You are responsible for confirming all requirements with official government sources, and with your airline, before booking or travelling.

3. Hop is not migration, legal or financial advice, and no agency or advisory relationship is created by using it. Hop is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government — see the Disclaimer.

4. Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability under such a guarantee can lawfully be limited, it is limited, at the developer’s option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

5. Otherwise, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss, cost or damage — including denied boarding, denied entry, visa refusal or missed travel — arising from use of, or reliance on, this app.

6. Premium in this build is a free demonstration: the unlock is local to your device and no payment is taken. If paid subscriptions launch, these terms will be updated first.

7. Content and design are for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Updated terms apply from when they are posted here; continued use is acceptance. Material changes will carry a new date.

9. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.

Always verify before you travel. Rules change without notice, and despite careful verification any entry in Hop can be incomplete or out of date. Before you book, and again before you fly, confirm the current requirements with the destination’s embassy, consulate or official immigration website — every destination card links your own government’s travel advice, and Premium adds the destination’s own visa portal — and with your airline, who apply the rules at check-in. Each destination shows when its entry rules were last verified.

Hop is independent. Hop is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any government or government agency. Advisory levels are the published assessments of the five governments listed under Travel advisory sources; they belong to those governments, and Hop reproduces the level without adding to it.

Liability. Hop is free and provided as is. Nothing here excludes consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those, and to the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for loss from relying on the app — including denied boarding, denied entry or a refused visa.
